Job Title: Software Developer, Applications
Job Description: Employer seeks a full stack developer able to design, develop, simulate, test, deploy database architecture for the steel industry. Develop modeling strategies to ensure the database is secure, scalable, and performs reliably. Responsible for coding database queries and use of database infrastructure. Set up database clusters, backup, and recovery processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 2 years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience in Software Development or related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field employer will accept 4 years of experience in Database Development or related field. Applicants must be able to work about 50% of the time at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
SKILLS: Education/Experience must include the following:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with CLARION database development environment software.
- Experience writing and deriving classes, object-oriented design and development (OOP).
- Working technical knowledge of other database environment software, primarily WINDEV and C#.
- Working technical knowledge of relational database management systems, including MS SQL and T-SQL.
- Working technical knowledge of database reporting tools, SSRS.
- Experience in web services—RESTful API, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
